Overview
Project Maanasi is thrilled to announce the imminent launch of its state-of-the-art Pharmacy Inventory Management System and innovation set to transform how mental health medications reach those who need them most.
For years, rural clinics grappled with stockouts, expiry woes, and manual reconciliation that risked patient well-being. Soon, eMaanasi will digitize every step from opening stock orders to quarterly reconciliation, ensuring no prescription goes unfilled.
Key Features on the Horizon:
- Low-Stock & Expiry Alerts: Automated notifications will flag medicines running low or nearing expiry, preventing treatment interruptions.
- Prescription-Linked Dispensing: Medications can only be dispensed against valid digital prescriptions, with built-in safeguards to block over-issuance unless an authorized senior doctor overrides.
- Smart Reorder Algorithm: The system will analyze historical usage patterns to suggest timely replenishment orders, allowing duty doctors to adjust quantities based on current needs.
- Digital Reconciliation: Every three months, issued stock will be reconciled against prescription records in the system complete with a comments field for pharmacists to explain any variances.
Why This Matters
Reliable medication access is the backbone of effective mental health treatment. By automating inventory oversight, eMaanasi’s Pharmacy Dashboard will eliminate guesswork, reduce wastage, and guarantee that life-changing therapies remain in clinic cupboards and patients’ hands exactly when they’re needed.
Stay tuned for demonstrations and hands-on training sessions rolling out at both Mugalur and HSIS clinics. This launch marks a major milestone in Project Maanasi’s mission: making accessible, affordable, and culturally sensitive mental healthcare truly uninterrupted.
